Ghanaian multi-award winning Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has responded to actress Jackie Appiah over her recent comment about not demanding money to become a Coronavirus ambassador.
A week ago, Shatta Wale revealed that he would demand money from the government before becoming a coronavirus ambassador. However, Jackie Appiah questioned why anyone would request for money before taking up the role.
However, in an interview on TV3, Shatta Wale has replied the actress. He stated that he demanded the money not because he likes money too much. Instead, he wanted to tell the government that Ghanaian celebrities are also business men and women.
He also stated that the failure of most Ghanaian celebrities to see their craft as a business has seen them struggle financially. As such, they tend to beg for money when they experience challenges.
According to Shatta Wale, he will not experience any hardship if the coronavirus pandemic continues for long because he has saved a lot of money.
